Craps lesson 5: Recap of free odds

Because these are so important and you use them so frequently, it's worth taking one more fast look at them. They break down like this:

  • 6 and 8
    Pay 6:5, so odds should be taken in increments of $5.
  • 5 and 9
    Pay 3:2, so odds should be taken in even increments.
  • 4 and 10
    Pay 2:1, so odds may be taken in any increments.

It's easy to remember 4 and 10, but it's certain you'll get mixed up on 6/8, 5/9 at some point. An easy way to keep straight how much to place on your odds bet is to remember "Put $5 on 6 and $6 on 5."
