SPENT 4 DAYS AT COSMO, GREAT LOOKING AND I FOUND IT CLEAN AT ALL TIMES. WAS ON 45 FLOOR IN WEST TOWER, WHAT DOES THAT MEAN, WALKING TO EAST TOWER TO SHOP OR EAT, OH, UNLESS YOU ORDER ROOM SERVICE WHICH IS GOOD, BUT COSTING 3-4 TIMES WHAT IT WOULD OUTSIDE THE AREA, TAKING 45 MIN. TO GET THE ORDER. POOLS WERE CLOSED.HAD MY YOUNG SON WITH ME WITH LITTLE FOR HIM TO DO THERE. MY LESSON IN VEGAS, HARD WORKING PEOPLE THAT RESPECT MONEY HAVE A HARD TIME ENJOYING THE TOWN. MY HAND WAS IN MY WALLET AT ALL TIMES OVER PAYING FOR EVERY THING. NEXT TRIP, PROBLY ELSWHERE.

Zoe, the Cosmo is beautiful and sparkly new. It also had the unfortunate timing to open as a beautiful, sparkly new luxury hotel right in the middle of an ugly economic downturn. As a result they've probably not been able to staff as fully as they'd like and I've also heard tales of visitors being a little let down by their stays.
Still, I would classify that as a minor concern, possibly caused by visitors expecting boom-era amenities during this recession. If you stay at the Cosmo, more than likely you'll find everything perfectly fine. If you're still worried, though, the Aria and Vdara are very similar to the Cosmopolitan and in the same area of the Strip.

Any advice on the Cosmopolitan? Views look amazing as do rooms and pools, it is in a great location and looks a very chic young hotel BUT it is falling down the ratings on tripadvisor and so many people seem to complain about the service and cleanliness - what is the true word on the street about this place? Don't want to throw £1K away...
